- analyze whit them the "pro and con" of being in a supranational institution.
- make them understand the meaning of "active citizenship".

The refugee and migration crisis: Dealing with

From the 25th of July till the 5th of August 2017 60 participants coming from 12 European countries got a better understanding of refugees’ situation and about the different actors involved in this topic on local, regional and international level The need to organize such a Erasmus + project about this topic was caused due to the fact that migration related challenges are the driving policy issues in the contemporary Europe and as all the researches and studies show without active and positive input of civic society it can be developed dramatically. It is a fact that reasons for displacement can be diverse - poverty, social or political exclusion, war, quest for a better life, studying or working abroad, which are the logical and historical steps of human journey.
The project aimed to train and educate youth in order to be able to fight inequality and discrimination against the refugees and weak with social intervention activities. Today’s Europe absorbs two million migrants each year – more than any other part of the world (as a proportion of its population), including North America. This migration flow changes the make-up of European societies - more so than birth rates or death rates. Increased migration into Europe is part of a global trend.
The immigration problem as well as the acceptance and integration represented the main theme of the project. The mentioned theme has keep the status of actual problem in the last years, especially after the immigration phenomenon has increased and becomes more and more acute if we consider the fact that Europe is both a continent that provides immigration and that is welcoming immigrants. It is thus vital that the Europeans to respond to challenges in an efficient way. Unfortunately things do not happen exactly this way. It is easy to notice an increase in intolerance, the support for the xenophobic and populist parties, discrimination, presence of illegal immigrants that have basically no rights, parallel communities that hardly interact with the societies around them, Islamic extremism, the lost of the democratic freedoms, attempts to forbid the freedom of speech in the so called religion interest. Behind this stands a rooted insecurity, the phenomenon of a mass immigration as it is experienced or perceived, distorted images and unfortunate stereotypes about minorities in the mass-media and public opinion and also the lack of leaders to inspire trust and to articulate a clear view of the future destiny of Europe. The mix of these diversities with the freedom of the 21-th century from Europe offers an answer based on the fundamental European values. There has to be made a plan for a more confident Europe that will embrace diversity instead of putting it aside and willing to accept that there is nothing wrong with multiple identities. The main objective of project was to sensitize and increase the level of awareness of the youngsters in what relates the integration of immigrants.
The Romanian partner was represented by 16-17 years old students George Barba-Rosie, Alexandra Gheonea, George Cirlioru & Claudia Elena Tataru, student at the University of Bucharest and group leaders Alexandra Tataru who participated to the Additional Preparatory Visit APV (May 2017 in Agros) and Paula Cristina Popescu for the youth exchange end July-beginning of August in Agros.

From the 9th to the 17th of November 2018, 34 participants over 21 years old representing 11 organisations from Europe took part in the training course for youth workers and educators "Because We Can!-Creativity Techniques in Working with Youth" lead by professional Polish trainers and facilitators experienced in the field of creativity and youth working. During 8 days, the European participants experienced in practice the elements of creativity techniques using creative tools such as movie making, photography, theatre and drama improvisation which can be helpful for developing social skills like communication, cooperation and problem solving among young people.
Aiming to increase efficiency among participants in leading various youth groups in their daily work, the training course allowed participants to develop their professional competences by gaining knowledge and skills of using social skills competency training method in formal and non formal education. Learning how to better deliver training courses and non formal education to young people, participants become more efficient in using creativity techniques and methods such as playing funny games (Dixit, the Flower, the Baloon), movie making, drama and theatre techniques as well as other artistic elements which can foster individual expression and development. Though various activities and collaborative work, participants improved their ability to adapt their techniques and tools so they can better reveal the young people's inner potential by a high quality work.
Colegiul Tehnic "Edmond Nicolau" chose three teachers to participate to this training course on the topic of creativity techniques: Paula Cristina Popescu, Doina Boboc and Cristina Trofin improved their pedagogical methods and tools learning about new games, non formal activities such as movie making, drama and improvisation. The Romanian teachers appreciated very much this amazing experience because they learnt how to better mix formal and non formal education in order to foster students' motivation for learning, helping them to be more communicative, creative and open minded. The new techniques and tools can be easily adapted to schools activities, having the advantage that they can be included in any school subject as an educational resource which encourage students to express their feelings, free their imagination and creativity. Other advantage is the fact that all the techniques and tools learnt are excellent ways to diversify the non formal activities used during English and French classes. It's also a great method that teachers can constantly use among students in risk of early school leaving and school dropout because this phenomenon affects our high school; it's our challenge to prevent the school dropouts by supporting our students to become more involved in the educational process, by motivating them to "come out of the box", find the strength of overcome social exclusion, geographical and financial obstacles in order to be active citizens and adapt to the labour market.
From the professionalism of the Polish trainers to the diversity of non formal activities including interactive games, intercultural evening, cultural awareness and discover of Krakow legends and stories through a City Game, the training course was a successful Erasmus+ project giving European participants the lovely opportunity to get specific know-how related to creativity techniques, exchange their experience in working with youth and build bridges over national borders for sharing common values and contribute to a European space of tolerance and non discrimination. In the long term, the project will contribute to strengthening the cooperation between the participating organisations, leading to future international collaborative projects within Erasmus+ programme.
